Work on your project!

We turned in our poem (see earlier posts) and Flash Fiction story (see earlier posts).
this week we focused on getting some headway on the semester project.  Please carry on over break!

Tasks from This Week: Nov. 9-13

1- Revise and hand in the poem modeled on "San Onofrio" and "Submersible" (see last post for details).
2- Read three examples from FLASH FICTION! and draft a short story using the opening sentences from one of those pieces and modeled on this style of fiction : a short story with theme and depth of no more than 750 words (get the stories from the teacher when you return to class).
3- Work on Final Projects: You should be drafting your project and have researched a publishing option by now. We will set a date for the rough draft to be due!

First Week of November!

We have turned in our "First Things" stories as of last week-- get them to me right away if you haven't already.
We finished our Semester Project Proposals on Wednesday-- these are due right away as I have to make sure you are on track for your project.
MODELS: Bring one to class by Monday of next week (a B day).
Start Working on your project at home, ESPECIALLY get onto the websites you will need to publish a paper bound OR e-book and check out how to do it.

Poetry: We learned about two poems that look a lot alike but are TOTALLY different and we wrote a poem that looks like those two poems, too.Models: San Onofre    Submersible
